This review was a welcome surprise! My family belonged to Columbia House back in the mid-90s. We got many of the post-Seattle Sound records you're talking about, like Throwing Copper, Collective Soul, I'd even count REM's Monster. Sixteen Stone was among my favorites. "Comedown" is the first song I can remember learning to play on bass.

Once in a while I'll randomly pick a 90s rock album to see if it holds up. Gin Blossoms, Eve 6, Godsmack, Matchbox 20, Bush, etc. While I thank all of these bands for teaching me at a young age to fervantly avoid interpreting lyrics (a skill which pays huge dividends with the increasingly political lyrics of modern music), I can thank only half of them for making music worth returning to. Bush is in the latter category. They made surprisingly meaty and arguably timeless pop rock.
